What is this?

How do you quantify how much damage your pet can take? Sir Bryan David Gilbert dared to ask this question in 2019 and changed the field of pet HP calculations forever. This tool aims to expand upon his work by providing another avenue to estimate your pets HP based upon their age.

Sometimes however, close enough is good enough. This website is not intended to be a replacement for the original formula, but rather a tool to help you estimate your pets HP based upon their age rather than observed behaviours.

The Gilbert Formula:

HP = b+(um)

b = Base pet/class value

u = Pet's level

m = Pet modifier

This tool calculates a pet's level based upon their age and the average lifespan of their pet type. Meaning a pet in their adult prime will be at maximum level and will taper off if they are older or younger.
